For the second consecutive game, the Lightning failed to maintain the lead in the third quarter.

However, unlike Saturday, Tampa Bay insisted on overtime and finally defeated the Wild Team 5-4 in the shootout at Amalia Arena on Sunday.

After Alex Barre-Boulet scored in the middle of the third quarter and gave Tampa Bay a 4-2 lead, Kevin Fiala and Joel Eriksson Ek scored in the last three minutes of the rules to send the team into overtime.

Neither side failed to break through in overtime, but Steven Stammkos' penalty goal and Brian Elliott's three-pointer contributed the second point for the Chargers.
